Are you at your wit’s end? Tired of having the same arguments and battles with no wins in sight?
Parents who work with Calvalyn are doing the best they can at managing busy careers and caring for their families, but they know that there must be an easier way. As a coach, Calvalyn’s mission is to come alongside you as you set clear goals for your family and work to achieve them. With her 20+ years of parenting and educating experience, she’s ready and willing to share with you the techniques that make the process easier.
As a licensed school counselor, Calvalyn truly understands the challenges facing the parents of modern children and adolescents. She works hard to make sure to support you as you help your child transition into adulthood. From communication to conflict resolution, compassionate discipline to emotional support, the success of your family is Calvalyn’s priority.
As a nationally published author, Calvalyn has trained hundreds of educators, foster parents and youth care workers that are on the front lines with students who are classified as “at-risk” or who exhibit challenging behaviors like low motivation, poor self-image or poor academic progress. Her behavioral, emotional and academic interventions are creative and effective. Her commitment to connection with children and families creates an openness to change. Her clients are families that are desperate for solutions and willing to make tough choices to achieve the goals that they’ve set.
Calvalyn achieved a Bachelors degree and a Masters of Science in Educational Counseling from Indiana University. She is a current member of the American School Counseling Association and Indiana School Counseling Association. Calvalyn has experience with special education, behavior improvement plans, and motivational interviewing.
Calvalyn’s hobbies include rummage sales, couponing and all things frugal. She enjoys spending time with her husband and four daughters traveling and experimenting in the kitchen.
